treat me right
Many new clients found their accountant to be condescending and not really interested in them or their business. Our approach is based on respect for the client and their business. We believe you should treat people how you would like to be treated. Especially when you consider they pay our salaries.
tax free pay
You can earn £6475 tax free in 2009-10, but only £5715 free of National Insurance. If you don't use this allowance each tax year you lose it.
did you know...
...if you run your business from home you can receive tax relief?
HM Revenue & Customs recognises that running a business from home will incur additional
costs to the household. You are therefore allowed to claim tax relief against your business, effectively putting some of the profits back into your pocket tax free.
The rules for calculating this relief differ depending on whether you have a dedicated room from which to operate the business or whether you have to share the lounge, dining room or a bedroom.
We calculate this tax relief automatically as part of the process of preparing annual accounts for our clients. Remember that your local council may wish to charge you business rates in respect of running your business. If you'd like some general guidance on working from home relief, please give Graham a call on 0845 644 3579.
