Concerned about your July payment on account?

2nd July 2009Concerned about your July payment on account?

The end of July is the time when self employed business owners and some higher rate tax payers are likely to need to make a second payment on account for 2008-9 tax. Many will find this difficult in the current climate. If your business' performance was worse in 2008-9 than in 2007-8 then it is possible to reduce this payment on account due to the expectation a lower tax bill for the year just ended. Your accountant can provide you with the relevant form, or since we love giving things away, you can download a copy from our resources section.

Even this might be a step too far for many, in which case the government has a payment support service for both individuals and businesses.

Inca advises its clients about when and how much to pay for their payments on account. If you'd like to have this peace of mind, then please give Graham a call on 0845 644 3579.
